Still quite young and distraught over the tragedy, the abandoned dragonling hung around the closest place that would take him -- a small farm run by a woman named May. Over the years, he grew from a relatively harmless tagalong about the size of a border collie into a large and quite in-the-way-of-himself hazard to the farm. When ddpej came through the area looking for K'd, Danaran saw a chance to be useful (and stop making May's life so hard) and asked if he could assist with the search. At the end of the day, ddpej offered the dragon a place in the Realms, which he accepted happily. Since then, Danaran has settled comfortably into both his new home and his own skin, and recently volunteered to care for ddpej's small muddle of derplings.
